Madagascar boasts some of the most incredible species of wildlife in the world. I am thrilled to have visited a few areas to try to photograph, film and document some of the amazing animals.
Deforestation, along with many social issues which resulted in a major conservation crisis have hit Madagascar very hard over the past century. The lemurs were listed as the most endangered primate group in the world by the IUCN. Many NGOs are doing their best to conserve, research and educate about the unique wildlife and ecosystems found in Madagascar.
I will share the photos and videos here and on www.facebook.com/nicolasrakotoparephotography & www.instagram.com/lerako in the hope of raising awareness for some of the amazing species that can still be found in Madagascar. Photographing and filming wild animals in their environment is a tough endeavor, especially in rainforest, but it only takes a second of observing lemurs leaping through the canopy or witnessing the insane camouflage of a leaf-tail gecko to make you forget all the hurdles and put an unforgettable moment in your memory (and hopefully memory card as well 😉 ) !
Thank you for watching the trailer, keep an eye here for the upcoming full videos. If you enjoyed please do share ! –www.facebook.com/nicolasrakotoparephotography
