Apart from this walk with insane light in Kathmandu (See previous article HERE), I did some more conventional shots (sort of the outtakes). It is such a great feeling to wake up at the other end of the world, getting excited for everything you’ll see during that day, packing your camera gear and off you go, in the town of Kathmandu, seeking a place to get some Chai and Aloo Paratha to start off the day in the right way. Outre les images faites avec cette lumiere de fou dans Katmandou (L’article est ICI), j’ai fait des images bien plus conventionelles pour montrer un peu la ville. C’est un sentiment tellement génial que de se reveiller a des milliers de kilometres de chez soi, se prerarer a etre emerveillé par tout ce que l’on va voir, preparer le sac avec le matos photo… Et me voila parti a la recherche d’une echope pour le Chai et le Aloo Paratha du matin.

I took this image at the same spot than the opening one in the previous Kathmandu article. I waited a long time for her to look into my direction but it never happened. J’ai fait cette image au meme endroit que celle qui illustre la partie I de Katmandou, J’ai attendu un bout de temps que la petite regarde dans ma direction mais elle ne l’a jamais fait.

A fruit shop in a street outside of Thamel. We bought sugar cane like in my childhood in Madagascar, loved it. Un magasin de fruits dans une rue en dehors de Thamel. On y a acheté de la canne a sucre, encore un bon souvenir de mon enfance a Madagascar.

A view on the place where we got Chai from that is illustrated in an other angle in the top image of this article. C’est ici que l’image tout en haut de l’article a été faite, un bon Chai.

Rhesus macaques (Macaca mulatta) are a holy animal like the cows and therefore they roam around without anything to fear. Les Macaques rhésus (Macaca mulatta) sont des animaux sacrés au meme titre que les vaches ils n’ont donc rien a craindre et vivent leur vie tranquillement.

Black Kites (Milvus migrans) over Kathmandu, in the beginning it was really weird but then it becomes really normal as they are everywhere. Les Milans noir (Milvus migrans) sont partout dans le ciel de Katmandou.

Here finishes the outtakes article about Kathmandu. you’ll probably hear more about this city (besides in the incoming portrait article)  once we start/finish the video edit of this trip but that might a long time. Some momo’s to end the day as well as it started… C’est ici que se termine ce petit article avec les “outtakes” (non selectionnees pour la partie I) de Katmandou. On reviendra sur cette ville dans la video, mais le temps qu’on commence et termien l’edit ca sera pas pour tout de suite (et la seance portrait). Quelques Momos pour terminer la journée…
