Hello, ca fait un petit bail que j’ai pas posté et pour cause : Fin d’année intense en travail, le 40D qui a rendu l’ame il y a 1mois (J’ai un compte rendu a venir sur lui d’ailleurs), puis le retour sur l’ile de la reunion pour passer les fetes.

Hello, it has been a little while since I posted something. I had a lot of work, my 40D died 1month ago (I’ll post a review about this 18month with the 40D) and I also flew back home to see my family for christmas.

Cette idée du top 10 de cette année je l’avais depuis un bail, mais de voir David poster les siennes m’a remotivé ! C’est en grande partie ce que j’ai posté sur mon flickr en fait :(

I had this top 10 pictures of the year idea for a long time, and seeing David’s pictures just re-motivated me ! It’s mainly what I posted on flickr though :( !

Cette selection sera forcement tres orientée Australie vu que j’y habite depuis presque 1ans (Je mets une petite caption au dessus de la photo pour raconter la prise de vue) :

This selection is really Australia oriented since i’ve been living in this magnificent country for the past year. (I’m adding a little caption next to the pictures to tell more about it)

- The wreck @ North Straddie. J’ai passé une semaine la bas, dans le cadre d’aide. 1 semaine de recherche en toxicologie sur les mammiferes marin (Des baleine a bosses en l’occurence). Cette image a été prise tot le matin, je me promenais simplement.

- The wreck @ North Straddie. I spent a week there as volunteer for a toxicology on marine mammals (Humpback whales) project. I took this pictures early morning,I was just sight seeing.

- The Dustsorm. La tempete de sable qui a touché la cote Est de l’Australie. J’etais en train de reviser a la fac, je suis rentré pour prendre mon boitier et immortaliser ca, c’etait unique (J’avais fait un article ici).

- The Duststorm. A dust storm hit the east side of Australia, I was doing some revisions at the uni and I went back home to get my camera, it was unique. ( I wrote an article here)

Queensland

- Sydney by Night. La destination finale d’un road trip bien sympa, le long de la cote est en van. Je suis resté l’aprem a Sydney, puis j’ai attendu le coucher de soleil, fait quelques images et on  a pris la route du retour.

- Sydney By Night.The final destination of  a nice road trip, in a van along the east cost. I stayed an afternoon, waiting for the sunset, i luckily it was really nice. Took couple of pictures and then we start the drive back home.

- Un jeune Baleineau , le long de la cote de Port Macquarie tot le matin. j’avais fait un article sur ca aussi ici.

-  A young Humpback whale, on the coast of Port Macquarie early morning. (I wrote an article about this trip here)

- Une pause longue de nuit, toujours a Port Macquarie, j’ai eu 2 essais, c’est mon préféré !

- A long exposure by night, still in Port Macquarie, i had 2 try, this is my favorite.

- Une autre de Sydney de Nuit, c’etait vraiment le moment pour declencher, l’heure bleue ! A droite une partie de l’opera, dans le fond le CBD.

- Petit arret sur la riviere a Raymond terrace, 2heures de route avant sydney.

- Photo prise a South Stradbroke en tout debut d’année, lors du barbecue des PEGS, Week-end sur une ile super sympa en tout cas. La lumiere vient d’un bateau amarré a ma droite et de la ville dans le fond. (Un article dessus ici).

- Picture taken in South Stradbroke Island at the beginning of the year, during the PEGS barbecue, great Week-end on a fun Island. Light is coming from the city in background and a boat on the right.( I wrote an article here about that)

- Photo prise a Coff’s Harbour, avec les lumiere du port. 2 essais sur celle la aussi.

The world is on fire

- Et un noir et blanc un peu special que j’affectionne beaucoup, et non c’est pas des erreur de pinceau, c’est juste de la brume ! C’est pris dans le hinterland, Queensland.

- And a Black and White that i really like (lots of grey shade), the dust is not a processing error but mist. Taken in Hinterland.

Voila ma selection “top 10″ de cette année… On verra bien ce que sera celle de l’an prochain, nouvelle année, nouvel appareil !

On pourra tout de meme noter le fait qu’il n’y ait presque que des paysages de nuit, j’aime vraiment ca … :)

Je retourne d’ici pas trop longtemps en Australie, continuer ma 2eme année de biologie et ecologie. J’ai finis ma 1ere année, j’ai tout reussi, et je m’eclate comme un fou, c’est plus que passionant…

Bref, sur cette joyeuse note , un super joyeux noel a tous :).

So here is my top 10 selection of the year… We’ll see what it will be next year, new year, new camera !

We can still see that night landscape is amongst my favorite type of photography. I’ll be back in Australia quite soon to do my 2nd year of biology and ecology, can’t wait, It’s such a great subject in such a great country.
